Cards for Soldiers

Here are some more cards I made for Cards for Soldiers.  I absolutely love these cards... especially the aqua and orange. I think I'm going to need to copy these to get a card stash started for myself since I still don't have one.

Smoke Detector Drive for Feltonville Families

I am a teacher in a neighborhood in Philadelphia called Feltonville.  Last week, a mother and her 3 children (one of whom I taught) perished in a fire in their home overnight.  There was only 1 smoke detector in the house (in the basement) and it didn't have a battery.  After this, one of our teachers who was very sickened by this (we all were) decided to take an informal poll at school.  Approximately 150-200 students said they know FOR A FACT that they do not have a working smoke detector in their house.  This teacher decided he needed to do something.  He decided to start a drive to collect smoke detectors to give to our students.  In addition to this, we are having the Philadelphia FD come into school to teach the students about fire safety this week.  I would really appreciate it if any of you would be able to help us out by donating either smoke detectors or even a small amount of money that we can put towards smoke detectors to help our students stay safe.  Click HERE to go to the Facebook page for the Smoke Detector Drive.

More shopping!!

Ok, so my spending ban REALLY hasn't worked yet... Here's more stuff that I bought between Saturday and Tuesday.
I went looking for a few cartridges at Michael's... I found Stamped, ZooBalloo, and Locker Talk.  Went into Joann's for the Immortal Love Premium Stack and ended up with that one, the Immortal Love solid cardstock, the new Dots, Stripes, and Plaids 12x12 premium, and the small solid cardstock of that line. The Metallic 8x8 and small Hippie Chick were on clearance for like $3 each, so I had to pick up some of that... I also picked up some sparkly embossing powders, a few Easter stamps (since I don't have any), some pink 8 1/2x11 cardstock, one of the new MS Valentine's punches, a new Sizzix Valentine's folders set, and a stamp with a really cute saying for some everyday cards... "If you're feeling blue, try painting yourself a different color" from a young child. I love the stamps with those quotes, they are so precious!

Calendar Pages

I did a calendar swap to use the Designer's Calendar cartridge. I did April 5x7 and March 12x12. Here are what they look like.

Valentine's Cards for Soldiers

Here are the Valentine's Cards for Soldiers that I made. I was only able to make 16 of them since I spent so much time with a room I couldn't work in and then so much time decorating. I absolutely love the yellow Be Mine ones because sometimes I hate the typical pink and reds on Valentine's cards, I just wish the stamp said "Bee Mine." I was able to use my new Bic Mark-It markers on these, and I love them.

Michael's Sale!!

I went to Michael's this morning, and spent a whopping $68 on all this stuff!!
Here are some AMAZING sale prices:
The clear stamps were on sale for $5.99. The glitter tray and brush were also regular price, but I used a coupon on the tray. The Stickles (the 1oz packs from Christmas) were on clearance for $3.59, the snowflake stamp was $2.69, the 8 1/2 x 11 red wasn't on sale ($3.99), the brown was $0.99, Christmas stack was $2.99. The black Archival Ink wasn't on sale, but again, I used a coupon. The flowers were 50% off so they were $2.49, and the cartridges were $9.99 each. I got Wild Card, Animal Kingdom, and Old West. I've been looking for Old West for a really long time and have had trouble finding it when it was on sale. Just figured I would share since I got it all for less than the regular price of one of the carts!

My Room's Done!!

I finally got finished organizing my scrap area. Here are some pictures. I'll also post some of the rest of the room after I finish getting rid of the trash that's in there. (The garage has alot of trash waiting to go out right now.)
This is a picture of the whole area.

Here are the 2 JetMax cubes to the left of my desk. On the top I have my carousel with my ATGs, scissors, Xacto, and other adhesives.  In the top cube, I have my MS Scoring Board, my paper trimmer, a small file with some papers for the Israel scrapbook I need to get started on, 8x8 and some notes about the trips I'm scrapping.  In the small shelves I have my flowers in the top. Under that are my MS glitters, and the third shelf has some small stacks. The 4 shelf cube on the bottom has paper scraps and 8 1/2x11 solid cardstock.

This is the paper cart under my desk. It holds all of my 12x12 pattern paper and stacks.
My workspace! I have my inks, ribbons, light, and Gypsy on the desktop (along with my ptouch for now). Above that is my JetMax magnet board with eyelets and brads.
Here is my Expression with cutting mats and my non-stick craft sheet hanging behind it on the wall).  Underneath that are 2 binders with Cricut handbook pages and my cutting guide.  The 4 drawers: 1. Cricut tools, cords (for my Gypsy), Cricut markers, Cri-Kit pens. 2. Dew drops and rhinestones. 3. Paper towels. The 4th drawer is empty.  Under there is 12x12 cardstock: 1st 2 have regular solid cardstock. Third is Bazzil (stocked up when M's had it on clearance). Last one is glitter and shimmer, and some projects I'm working on.

Left side of the shelves: Cuttlebug and supplies, wood mounted stamps, unmounted stamps in the pink photo box, Stickles, blank cards, embossing powders that has been left over from using colored inks.
Upper shelf: Seasonal supplies, vinyl, extra inserts for the ink storage, empty jars and bins, my Xyron 500 and X.

Right side:  Bic Mark-It markers, punches, iPod in player (gotta have music while I work), small drawers with decorative scissors, glue gun, and distressing supplies, scrapbooks I'm working on and supplies for that in the pink bin.
Upper shelf: stickers, photo boxes with Israel pictures and mementos, unused road trip photos, and random photos from growing up (that one's my mom's).

Top shelf: Cricut, Cuttlebug, and OttLite boxes, empty photo boxes and jars, and behind that are my Cricut cartridges in their boxes. I have a small plastic box up there for my seasonal and solutions carts.

I also had to include a picture of the papsan that I can finally use to relax!
Hope you enjoyed the little tour.
