My Room's Done!!

I finally got finished organizing my scrap area. Here are some pictures. I'll also post some of the rest of the room after I finish getting rid of the trash that's in there. (The garage has alot of trash waiting to go out right now.)
This is a picture of the whole area.

Here are the 2 JetMax cubes to the left of my desk. On the top I have my carousel with my ATGs, scissors, Xacto, and other adhesives.  In the top cube, I have my MS Scoring Board, my paper trimmer, a small file with some papers for the Israel scrapbook I need to get started on, 8x8 and some notes about the trips I'm scrapping.  In the small shelves I have my flowers in the top. Under that are my MS glitters, and the third shelf has some small stacks. The 4 shelf cube on the bottom has paper scraps and 8 1/2x11 solid cardstock.

This is the paper cart under my desk. It holds all of my 12x12 pattern paper and stacks.
My workspace! I have my inks, ribbons, light, and Gypsy on the desktop (along with my ptouch for now). Above that is my JetMax magnet board with eyelets and brads.
Here is my Expression with cutting mats and my non-stick craft sheet hanging behind it on the wall).  Underneath that are 2 binders with Cricut handbook pages and my cutting guide.  The 4 drawers: 1. Cricut tools, cords (for my Gypsy), Cricut markers, Cri-Kit pens. 2. Dew drops and rhinestones. 3. Paper towels. The 4th drawer is empty.  Under there is 12x12 cardstock: 1st 2 have regular solid cardstock. Third is Bazzil (stocked up when M's had it on clearance). Last one is glitter and shimmer, and some projects I'm working on.

Left side of the shelves: Cuttlebug and supplies, wood mounted stamps, unmounted stamps in the pink photo box, Stickles, blank cards, embossing powders that has been left over from using colored inks.
Upper shelf: Seasonal supplies, vinyl, extra inserts for the ink storage, empty jars and bins, my Xyron 500 and X.

Right side:  Bic Mark-It markers, punches, iPod in player (gotta have music while I work), small drawers with decorative scissors, glue gun, and distressing supplies, scrapbooks I'm working on and supplies for that in the pink bin.
Upper shelf: stickers, photo boxes with Israel pictures and mementos, unused road trip photos, and random photos from growing up (that one's my mom's).

Top shelf: Cricut, Cuttlebug, and OttLite boxes, empty photo boxes and jars, and behind that are my Cricut cartridges in their boxes. I have a small plastic box up there for my seasonal and solutions carts.

I also had to include a picture of the papsan that I can finally use to relax!
Hope you enjoyed the little tour.

Taking it one step at a time

I've gotten some more work done on the scraproom. Here's a picture of the wall unit completely empty.
This is what the new Elfa system looks like with nothing on it yet...
Here it is with my Cricut, ribbon rack, and ink storage... just the beginning.
I'll post some more when it's finished. I'll also include pictures of how the rest of the room looks with all my scrapping supplies organized and not thrown all over the room.

Scraproom Before

I ventured out in the snow today, which turned out to be no problem at all since the roads ended up being fairly clear. I picked up a friend (who is also a scrapbooker) and headed over to the Container Store to pick up the Elfa unit. She had never been there but thought it was really cool. Well, I'll be moving some stuff around to clear out the area where the unit is going. I figured I would post some before pictures now to give you an idea of what I'm working with. I wish I had pictures of the dining room when that was my work area because it's even worse than this.

I hope to get the new unit set up by the end of this week. I'll take some pictures throughout the process as well.

It's All About Baby Steps

Ok, so I said I can't wait until late December to get the room organized. Today I went to Joann's and bought an Iris unit to hold my 12x12 papers in 6 bins. I was also looking at racks to hold ribbon and my boyfriend (who's VERY good with tools and building) and he offered to make me one! It will be SOOO much less expensive and easier because I can have it look exactly how I want. This also gives him an excuse to buy a new blade for his saw, so he's happy with that.

Moving the Scraproom... It's a Love/Hate Kinda Thing

Until last weekend, I used my dining room (well, my parents' dining room) as a scraproom. (Hey, it's ok, my mom used it too!) Well, they decided they wanted a dining room again, so I had to move the scraproom to my spare bedroom. That room is also a guest room and a storage room/lounge for me. Right now, my scrap stuff is ALL over the place. I'm using an entertainment center for my E and storing almost everything, but it's REALLY small and has very little storage space. I also have a small desk and a trunk in there. I have paper on the floor in piles at the moment (except my solid cardstock- that's in Cropper Hoppers in a section of the desk). I'm thinking of getting rid of the entertainment center and installing an Elfa unit from The Container Store, but I'm trying to wait until after Christmas when I was told all the Elfa stuff will be 25-30% off. That's the only way I'll be able to afford it... I'm just not sure I can wait that long. Until then, I guess I'll be working on planning where everything will go and ways to store it all on the shelves when I get them... I'm going crazy with it the way it is right now though!! I don't want to wait a month and a half for my new storage/crafting space!
